Perfect Circle

Annual exhibition of the Estonian Painters’ Association "Perfect Circle"

Supervisors of the exhibition Mara Koppel-Ljutjuk and Toomas Tõnissoo gave freedom of play for the artists – their imagination was not limited by choice of size, material, theme or technique, and the only keyword was „perfect circle”. On the occasion of the Olympic year, all artists can cast their creative impulses into noble tondo format, while also refreshing their relationship with the basics of painting and the history of painting as a whole. A creator has got the opportunity to exit from restrictive angularity and enter the playful smoothness of a circle. Empty circular canvas, carboard plate or any other item placed in front of the artist is like a playground, where own rules can be established with technique, means and style. Creative games result in personal signs of the artists. Also, every visitor is vigorously pulled into the dizzily spinning and circulating exposition.
